TrinityOne Marketing’s Alicia Sacramone Captained US Women’s Gymnastics Team to Team Silver Medal in Beijing Olympics; Sacramone
 
 



TrinityOne Marketing client Alicia Sacramone captained the US women’s gymnastics team to a silver medal in the team competition at this summer’s Beijing Olympics. Sacramone will be rejoining some of her Olympic teammates as part of the 2008 “Tour of Gymnastics Superstars.” Sacramone will be participating in six Northeast tour stops, including Philadelphia, PA; State College, PA; East Rutherford, NJ; Boston, MA; Bridgeport, CT and Washington, DC.


Since returning from Beiing, Sacramone has been traveling all over the country for appearances and media engagements. TrinityOne negotiated sponsorship deals for Sacramone with 24 Hour Fitness, adidas, Bank of America and Cover Girl. Sacramone and two of her teammates, Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson, are the first athletes signed on as Cover Girls. Sacramone attended New York’s Fashion Week and was followed around by Access Hollywood as she attended the BCBG Max Azria Show. She was invited by designers to attend numerous other shows as well. She also attended the “Fashion Rocks” show and mingled among Hollywood elite including Justin Timberlake, Fergie, Chace Crawford, Kid Rock and Terrence Howard. Following New York, she jetted off to Los Angeles where she was a guest on the Best Damn Sports Show Period and The Bonnie Hunt Show. She also filmed skits to promote a new show on Versus, Sports Soup, a spin off of the popular E! Television show The Soup.


Sacramone, 20, is a eight-time world medalist and five time National Vault Champion. She took the 2008 US National Vault title at the Visa Championships, while also earning a silver on floor and bronze on beam. She also earned the title of 2008 United States Olympic Committee Spokeswoman of the Year. In 2007, Sacramone captained the team to gold at the World Championships in Germany with a clutch floor exercise performance, while also earning a silver medal on individual floor and bronze medal on vault.


Sacramone is native of Winchester, MA and a sophomore at Brown University. She began gymnastics at the age of eight and first emerged in the top echelon of the international gymnastics scene in 2004 with a gold medal performance on the vault event at the World Cup Finals held in Birmingham, United Kingdom. She has been a dominant force in the sport ever since, specializing in three events, floor, vault and beam.
