LARRY IZZO AND HIS FELLOW NE PATRIOTS SALUTE OUR TROOPS WITH ‘LARRYOKE’
Larry Izzo’s Salute To Our Troops at the Roxy Wednesday Night, June 4th!
(Boston, MA) Join Larry Izzo and his teammates from the New England Patriots at the Roxy for “Larryoke” – all to support our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and their families. Players, fans and sponsors will sing, mingle and enjoy a night of fun on Wednesday, June 4, beginning at 7pm.
In early 2005, Larry Izzo made a trip to Iraq and Afghanistan, where he met with American troops. In addition, Izzo’s father, Larry Sr. graduated from West Point and after a 23 year career in the military, eventually retired as a full Colonel in 1990. Upon his father’s passing in 2003, combined with his trip to the Middle East, Izzo decided to begin an annual event to support American troops and their families.
“I made a promise to our troops I would never forget them, fulfilling a commitment I had made in my father’s memory.” Izzo says. “I have always wanted to do something to help the families of our American troops.”
All proceeds from the event will go to a variety of charities supporting American troops and their families, including Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund (MSLF), Pat Tillman Foundation, The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF), Operation Ensuring Christmas, Homes for Our Troops, and Fallen Patriot.
Larry Izzo’s Salute To Our Troops begins at 7pm at the Roxy, located at 279 Tremont St. in Boston. Tickets are still available for $50 from Ticketmaster, go to ticketmaster.com and if the show is not sold out beforehand, tix are avail at the Roxy box office.
This event tonite is for the 21 plus crowd.
